Word of the week #5

Tomorrow is the Doctor Who mid-season finale, which everyone should be getting excited for. So many big questions remain to be answered - who kidnapped Amy and why? Who is her baby's father? Will we finally learn River Song's true identity? Where did the fez go? (Fezzes are cool).

I can't wait, so I've chosen a word this week which always makes people think of Who because of how much it sounds like the name of his home planet. It also has a meaning which perfectly describes the inside of the TARDIS. It's also a fairly easy word to casually throw into conversation, although you should be prepared to explain yourself afterwards since it sounds so wonderfully odd. Your word of the week is...

Gallimaufry

Noun: A confused jumble; a hodge-podge; a medley. Term originates from a medieval meat stew. Pronounced gal-uh-maw-free.

Example: With Amy kidnapped, River refusing to help, the Cybermen returning and River back in his Roman outfit, the Doctor is going to be facing a gallimaufry of problems which will test his every skill if he wants to save the day.
